How to change site-name of Drupal 7 / Drupal 8 website?

After completing installation, you may need to change the website name / blog name of your Drupal 7 website. Change of Drupal 7 website can be done easily. In this page, you will learn how to change the website name of your Drupal 7.

Requirements:

  • Drupal Installed website (Drupal 7 / Drupal 8)

  • No extra module is required.

Steps to change the site-name of your Drupal 7 / Drupal 8 website:

Step 1: Log in to your Drupal 7 / Drupal 8 website’s admin panel using the admin username and password.
Step 2: After log in, click on Configuration option from the top menu of your admin account panel.

Step 3: Click on Site information option under System tab. [Note: Site information link is used to change site name, e-mail address, slogan, default front page, and number of posts per page, error pages.]
Step 4: Under the “Site information” page, you will find a textbox like Site name. Now, type the name of the website as you like. For example, we type Hide My Tips as the site name for our site.

Step 5: Click on Save configuration button to save your changes.

And that’s all. Now, you will see that the website name is changed according to your texts. For example, we type Hide My Tips for our site name and after saving the configuration we will see that the site name has been changed. So, the website will look like the following:
